IS National Youth Service director general Matilda Sakwa really aware of a storm that is brewing at the agency’s headquarters along Thika Superhighway in Nairobi? Well, NYS personnel are said to be planning a protest against what they term a single diet. The youth say they have been feeding on rice for lunch and supper for the past one month. A governor from Western and an MP allied to Deputy President William Ruto gave a fundraiser attended by ODM chairman John Mbadi a wide berth last Sunday. Sources, however, whispered to Corridors that the governor and the lawmaker — both elected on ODM tickets — opted to snub the harambee for fear of being exposed before the crowd. A local leader is said to have planned to tell the crowd that the two had dined with Ruto the night before and the money they were to contribute were handouts from the DP.
