Did a Jubilee politician reject police bodyguards from a certain part of Kenya? It is understood he could have refused to accept three substitutions to his close protection guards and instead decided to stick with the officers he is used to. There are claims three officers had been recalled ostensibly for further training and replaced with equally qualified staff but the politician declined to accept them. A mole within the security system told Corridors that the boss was not keen to have any of his current officers recalled for replacement until after the next general election. While it is usual for top government officials to cultivate a personalised relationship with their guards, VIPs usually go for most trusted officers.

Just what mess is going on at the Commission for Legal Education? Did the agency decline to give an extension to the exams registration deadline for students seeking to sit their pre-bar examinations this year? Corridors is informed that a top administrator at the commission, the examiner of the advocates’ training exams, has deliberately refused to give even a two-day deadline extension to enable deserving students to enrol for the exams. It is said that the exam registration window was opened on September 2 and was closed on 30th of the same month. Some students who could not raise the Sh45,000 required within the period had petitioned to be given until October 2. However, despite the fact that the exams will begin on November 12, a senior official at the CLE is accused of blocking the students. This means they will have to wait for another year.
