The least happy country is Afghanistan, the World Happiness Report said.
It was followed by Lebanon, Lesotho, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The report's rankings are not based on any index of factors including GDP per capita, social support, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and corruption.
