Three people were reported dead in Kisumu after a lorry plunged off the Kachok flyover and fell on a tuk-tuk carrying passengers on Tuesday.
Police had to lob teargas canisters to disperse residents who had arrived at the scene as some were trying to loot gumboots from the lorry.
The lorry lost control before veering off the flyover.
Six dead, 8 injured after matatu overturned in Sachangwan
Six people died and eight others were seriously injured after a matatu they were travelling from Eldoret to Nairobi overturned in Sachangwan area on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
This is after the driver lost control of the public service vehicle. Police and witnesses said the victims included four men and one woman.

Maendeleo Democratic Party leader Omukanda dies in dawn accident
Maendeleo Democratic Party (MDP) party leader Amisi Omukanda died on Wednesday in an accident.
One of his party youth leaders Charles Ong'ayo suffered multiple fractures during the accident while a female passenger escaped unhurt.
The accident occurred in the Sasala area along the Kakamega-Mumias road at 2:00 pm.
