Outcomes for patients with drug-resistant TB (DRTB) are poor, and only 27 per cent are cured each year in Kenya.

One of the worst forms of drug-resistant tuberculosis is mostly being spread from person to person in Kenya, rather than arising from inadequate treatment, an analysis by the Ministry of Health shows.
