Kericho Governor Erick Mutai has confirmed that 52 people have died following the grisly accident that occurred at Londiani Junction on Friday at around 6:30pm.

In a statement on Saturday, Mutai said the 52 comprised 31 males, 18 females and 2 children.

“Among the casualties, we have admitted 6 of them in our Kerichso County Referral Hospital and Londiani Sub County Hospital, while one is in critical condition at Kericho County Referral Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit,” Mutai said.

He said that 10 of the victims have been referred to Nakuru County health facilities and they are closely monitoring their conditions.
