The December holiday is already here.
For many, it's the most wonderful time of the year dogged with a beehive of activities, mainly festivities.
But as you grapple with juggling various tasks at the go, managing social media this festive season is a hard nut to crack for many.
Fredrick Omollo a counselling psychologist said that as much as social media has made the world a global village, it can cause harm if not controlled.
He said that being on social media during the holidays will help you get new ideas and acquire new leads.
Omollo said that social media goes both ways; it could help or break you.
"When you are around your family, the best thing you can do is lend them your ears. It is time to bond and not to talk to your coworkers or friends," he said.
He, however, advises that people should not completely switch off from social media as it is also a way to restore relationships which mostly break if they are not engaged often.
He added that when people establish their presence on social media during holidays, it makes them learn without compromising their fun.
By making early plans and deciding on what to post you will get time to think and create content for your platform.
Omollo said that it doesn’t mean you spend your all your free time creating content to be posted.
Take advantage of the holiday period without compromising your own fun by having a plan around your online presence.
