In a bid to bag a majority of the Coastal votes, Deputy President William Ruto has appointed a lead campaign team that will coordinate the selling of his candidature.
The appointment was made on Sunday when he was unveiling the Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua.
Among those appointed to the campaign team include Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi who recently moved to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance from Azimio.
Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya is also in the campaign team that will ensure Ruto gets enough votes to earn him the presidency.
