The Kisii government has disinfected its central business district as part of measures to contain the spread of coronavirus.
The exercise, which started on Saturday morning and continued into the night, led to the cleaning of public spaces in Kisii town.
County secretary Patrick Lumumba urged the public to report administrators who fail to promote adherence to the laid down health protocols.
Administration executive Edna Kangwana said the operation is set to cover all major towns in all subcounties.
Kangwana appealed to residents to cooperate with officials and enforcement officers during the exercise.
Public Health Chief Officer Richard Onkware appealed to the traders to ensure their premises are disinfected in the ongoing exercise.
Businessman Stephen Arika advised traders to continue cooperating with the two levels of government despite numerous challenges brought by the outbreak of coronavirus.
