President William Ruto on Sunday attended a church service at the Full Gospel Church in Gatunduri, Embu County, where he joined congregants for worship alongside local leaders, clergy and residents.
Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire, who was accompanied by several elected leaders from the region and members of the clergy, received the Head of State.
Among the leaders present were Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi, Mbeere North MP Leo Wamuthende and Runyenjes MP Eric Karemba, as well as other national and county government officials.
The visit forms part of President Ruto's continued engagements with religious institutions across the country, where he has consistently underscored the role of the church in promoting moral values, national unity and peaceful coexistence.
Religious leaders present at the service welcomed the President and prayed for peace, unity and continued development across the country, urging leaders to work together in addressing the challenges facing Kenyans.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for local leaders
to reaffirm their support for development programmes being implemented by the
national government.
