Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is set to officially open the 26th Annual General Meeting of the African Trade and Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) in Nairobi on Wednesday.

The meeting, running from June 30 to July 3, 2026, brings together key stakeholders from across Africa and the global financial community.

According to organisers, the AGM will provide shareholders with a comprehensive review of ATIDI’s performance, financial position and strategic direction over the past year.

Delegates are also expected to deliberate and adopt resolutions on issues affecting the organisation and its membership, while considering and approving admission of new members.

Infotrak set to unveil 2026 leadership performance ratings

Infotrak Research and Consulting is set to release the CountyTrak Performance Index 2026 – Elected Leaders Performance Rating at Kempinski in Nairobi.

The report will provide the latest citizen assessment of the performance of Members of Parliament, Senators and Women Representatives across Kenya.

According to Infotrak, the findings are based on responses collected from 87,286 participants drawn from all 47 counties.

The index is expected to rank elected leaders based on public perception while highlighting the best-performing and most improved leaders.

The release is anticipated to offer insight into public sentiment on leadership and service delivery across the country.

Utumishi girls fire case

Eight students from Utumishi Girls Academy facing murder charges in connection with the deaths of their colleagues in a dormitory fire are expected to be presented before Kibera High Court for further directions.

The High Court earlier ordered that the students undergo mental assessment to determine whether they are fit to stand trial.

The eight suspects are facing 16 murder charges linked to the fire that broke out on the night of May 28.

During the mention, the court is expected to review the mental assessment report and issue directions on the way forward in the case.
