The Turkana University College has announced a fresh round of job vacancies targeting both academic and non-academic professionals as part of its ongoing efforts to expand staffing and strengthen service delivery across its academic programmes.

In an external advertisement issued through the Office of the Deputy Principal (Administration, Finance and Planning), the institution invited applications from qualified candidates to fill positions in teaching, research and administrative support.

Among the academic roles advertised is a Public Health Lecturer post within the School of Science and Technology.

Applicants for this position are required to possess a PhD in Public Health or a closely related field from a recognised university, in addition to at least three years of teaching or research experience.

The college also outlined opportunities in the School of Education and Social Sciences, including positions for Tutorial Fellows and Graduate Trainees.

These roles are designed to support teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while also helping to build the next generation of academic staff through research engagement, outreach, and consultancy activities.

The Tutorial Fellow position requires candidates to hold at least a Master’s degree in Educational Technology or a related discipline, with an expectation that applicants be registered for a PhD in a relevant field.

The Graduate Trainee position targets candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or a related area, with preference given to those pursuing or holding a Master’s degree. Both roles require professional registration where applicable and demonstrate the institution’s emphasis on academic progression and capacity building.

In the non-academic category, the university college is seeking to recruit an Accountant II.

This position requires either a Master’s degree in finance or accounting-related fields or a Bachelor’s degree coupled with professional qualifications such as CPA and relevant experience.

The role is intended to strengthen the institution’s financial management and administrative efficiency, ensuring smooth operational support for academic functions.

Applications are to be submitted in hard copy form, accompanied by detailed curriculum vitae, academic certificates, identification documents, and other relevant testimonials. All submissions must reach the Deputy Principal’s office in Lodwar, Kenya, by 6th July 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

The institution has emphasized its commitment to equal opportunity employment, encouraging applications from all qualified individuals, including persons with disabilities, while noting that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further consideration.
