The National Communication Secretariat is inviting applications from suitably qualified Kenyan professionals with demonstrable expertise and experience to fill several vacant positions within its establishment.
The Secretariat, established under Section 84 of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, 1998, serves as the Government of Kenya’s policy advisory body on matters relating to the ICT sector under the Ministry of Information, Communication and the Digital Economy.
The advertised positions include Director, Communications Technology; Director, Radio Communication and Multimedia; Deputy Director, Legal Services; Assistant Director, Planning; Senior Communications Technology Officer; and Communications Technology Officer II. The roles span Grades NCS 2 to NCS 8 and each position has one vacancy with specific job reference numbers provided for application tracking.
Successful applicants will be expected to provide strategic and technical leadership in their respective fields, including communications technology development, radio spectrum management, legal advisory services, planning and policy formulation, and operational support within the ICT regulatory environment.
Candidates are required to demonstrate relevant academic qualifications, professional experience, and compliance with public service standards.

Hard copy applications may also be submitted to the Communications Secretary/CEO at Transcom House in Nairobi.
The deadline for receipt of applications is 13th July 2026 by close of business.
The Secretariat said only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and successful applicants must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

The recruitment exercise is part of ongoing efforts by the Secretariat to strengthen institutional capacity, enhance ICT governance, and support the government’s digital transformation agenda across the communications sector in Kenya.
It is expected that the new appointments will improve efficiency, policy coordination, and regulatory oversight within the national communications and ICT ecosystem in Kenya going forward significantly countrywide.
