The Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, has arrived in Kenya for an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between Kenya and the Commonwealth family of nations.

Her arrival marks the start of engagements that will include high-level consultations with government leaders and key stakeholders.

According to the State Department for Foreign Affairs, the discussions are expected to focus on governance, sustainable development, youth empowerment, trade, and regional peace and security.

The visit is intended to provide a platform for dialogue on shared priorities between Kenya and the Commonwealth, with an emphasis on strengthening collaboration in areas that support inclusive growth, democratic governance, economic resilience, and improved livelihoods across member states.
