Laikipia University advertises three key positions – how to apply
The university stated that any submissions received after Tuesday, March 3, 2026, will not be accepted or processed.

Laikipia University has opened applications for several key positions, inviting qualified professionals to join its academic and security teams.
The public university, located 11 kilometres from Nyahururu and 50 kilometres from Nakuru along the Nyahururu–Nakuru Highway, said the appointments aim to support its vision to Nurture and Transform for the World.
In a statement from the Office of the Registrar, the university said it seeks suitably qualified, visionary, competent, dynamic and experienced professionals for the advertised roles.
The vacancies include a Security Officer I position at grade AD 10, based in the university’s Security Department. The post is offered on a five-year contract.
Additionally, the university is recruiting for two permanent and pensionable senior lecturer positions at grade AC 13. One role is in the School of Education [SOED] while the other is in the School of Humanities and Development Studies [SHDS].
Laikipia University described itself as a “Premier University endowed with a serene environment conducive for teaching, learning and academic excellence.”
The institution emphasised that these new hires are part of its ongoing efforts to deliver quality education, research, training, consultancy, innovation, outreach, and collaboration.
Candidates interested in applying for the positions are required to meet a series of clearance requirements before appointment. The statement notes that successful applicants will need verification from the Kenya Revenue Authority [KRA], Higher Education Loans Board [HELB], Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission [EACC], Directorate of Criminal Investigation [DCI], the Credit Reference Bureau [CRB], and the Commission for University Education [CUE] for certificates obtained from foreign institutions, where applicable.
The Registrar of Administration and Human Capital at Laikipia University outlined the application process.

Applicants must submit three hard copies of their application to the Registrar at P.O. Box 1100 – 20300, Nyahururu, Kenya, and also email a complete PDF package to [email protected].
The university set a strict deadline for applications, stating that any submissions received after Tuesday, March 3, 2026, will not be accepted or processed.
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, the statement added.
