Upon stepping out, he was warmly received by President William Ruto, marking the formal commencement of his state visit.
Following his arrival, a red carpet reception was held where the Prime Minister greeted senior Kenya Defence Forces officials.
He then walked alongside President Ruto to the podium, where the two leaders stood in preparation for the ceremonial military honors.
The Kenyan Defence Forces, led by the Army, held a disciplined formation as the national anthems of both Kenya and Malaysia were performed on trumpets.
In a symbolic gesture of respect, the Malaysian leader was accorded a 21-gun salute by the Kenya Navy, highlighting the significance of the state visit and the historic ties between the two nations.
Following the salute, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim marched in front of the assembled army before returning to the podium.
The troops would then execute a disciplined march, maintaining a stern formation as they exited the ceremonial arena.
The ceremony was attended by several senior Kenyan officials, including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, other cabinet secretaries, and diplomatic delegates from both countries.
Leaders from Malaysia who accompanied the Prime Minister were also present, reinforcing the importance of the visit in fostering bilateral relations.
The visit is part of a broader agenda to deepen economic and diplomatic cooperation between Kenya and Malaysia.
