Detectives are investigating an incident in which a woman was found dead and her body dumped in a thicket in Kitengela, Kajiado County.

Police said the body was discovered by a pedestrian along Temple Road.

According to officers at the scene, the woman had visible injuries on the back of the neck and mouth.

She did not have identification documents at the time of the discovery on Tuesday, November 18.

Police said the cause of death and the motive remain undetermined.

The body was moved to a mortuary pending identification and an autopsy.

In a separate incident in Kapkesosio, Bomet County, police are investigating the death of Festus Korir, 31, who was found dead in his house.

Police said his body had head injuries and was lying in a pool of blood.

According to a preliminary police report, Korir had earlier been involved in a physical altercation with his brother while fetching water.

Police said the two quarrelled and fought, after which Korir suffered head injuries before returning home.

He was later found dead.

Police said a suspect has been arrested and is expected to be arraigned as investigations continue.

The body was moved to a mortuary for post-mortem examination.

In Sondu, Kericho County, a 50-year-old woman died in a house fire.

Police said the body of Caren Tanui was found in her two-roomed house after the blaze had been extinguished on Tuesday.

The cause of the fire has not been established.

The body was moved to a mortuary pending investigations and an autopsy.

Residents said the woman had been unwell and was undergoing medical treatment.

Meanwhile, in Villa, Embakasi, Nairobi, a man died after being attacked by a mob following an alleged robbery attempt.

Police said the man was accused of attempted theft before the mob assaulted him. His body was taken to a mortuary for identification and autopsy.

Police reiterated that mob justice is unlawful and urged the public to hand over suspects to authorities.

Elsewhere in Luanda, Vihiga County, a businesswoman was robbed of Sh132,000 in an attack involving six men.

Police said the woman had closed her business and was driving home with her daughter when another vehicle blocked her car.

According to police, the men ordered the occupants to lie down before taking the cash and two mobile phones.

The attackers then fled. The incident occurred on November 17 as investigations continue.
