
President William Ruto today intensified his development tour of the Ukambani region.
After traversing Makueni and Kitui, the Head of State pitched camp in Machakos County.

Here, he launched several projects, including the construction of the 22km Kivandini-Miseleni Road in Mwala Constituency.
This is a Sh1.7 billion project expected to enhance connectivity, ease movement, and boost trade and investment in the region.

Ruto said the project reflects the government’s commitment to delivering reliable infrastructure that supports inclusive growth and empowers communities to reach their full potential.
He added that the government is currently building 360km of new roads across Machakos County, opening up critical routes and expanding economic opportunities for residents.
Ruto was accompanied by his deputy Kithure Kindiki, Labour Cabinet Secretary Alfred Mutua, his Roads counterpart Davis Chirchir nd several elected leaders.
