Youthful Winnie Odinga, the late Raila Odinga's lastborn, got one of the loudest cheers as she made her way into the Swahilipot Hub arena for the ODM @20 celebrations.

Dressed in an Orange and blue t-shirt, her signature jungle green side-pocket trousers, and a fedora hat, a multitude of youth chanted her name as she snaked her way into the arena.

Nicknamed "Chogo", which means "last born" in Luo, Winnie stole the show with her entrance.

Thereafter, the ODM brigade called on the youth to take over the party.

"There is nothing Baba liked like the youth," said ODM chair and Homa Bay governor.

"The respect to give Baba is to register as ODM members and protect the county."

She said in 2027, Kenya's leadership should be taken by ODM. Nothing will happen in ODM without the youth, she said.

"ODM youth, take over the party and take us to Canaan," Wanga said.

"Together we will get to the glory land," Wanga said.

ODM deputy party leader and Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir said youth need to stand up He said there is a revolution in the party.

"This party is yours," he told the youth.

He asked youth to bring the change the country needs.

"A movement is not built on comfort. It is built on courage," he said.

He said the youth are the ones with the power to kill tribalism in the country.

Mining CS Hassan Joho awarded the youth who could quote some of Raila's famous quotes.

They got Sh10,000 for each correct answer.

ODM deputy party leader Simba Arati said youth must be disciplined.

He called on the youth not to allow themselves to be bought. He said the youth should unite the party.

"If it is jail, we will be jailed together. If it is teargas, we will eat together. But we will ensure people's rights are protected," Arati, who is the Kisii governor, said.
