A wave of tragedy hit parts of the country on Monday, November 10, 2025, as police reported multiple deaths—including the brutal killing of a 14-year-old boy in Njoro, Nakuru County, the assault of a schoolboy in Siaya, and two separate drowning incidents in Laikipia and Mombasa.
The body of a 14-year-old boy was found on the roadside after his murder in Njoro, Nakuru County.
Police said the body was discovered on Monday, November 10, 2025, a day after he went missing.
The boy had gone missing on Sunday after leaving a local church in the Jordan area, his family said.
Come Monday morning, his body was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts on the neck.
Police said blood was oozing from his private parts at the time of the discovery. A white cap and a green belt stained with blood lay next to the body, police added.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations. No arrest has been made so far.
In the same area, two men were lynched over claims related to a sodomy case that had been reported in the locality.
Police moved the bodies to the mortuary pending autopsies and investigations.
In Siaya County, a 15-year-old boy died after being assaulted by his friends at a party in Nambo village, Usenge.
Police said the incident happened on Monday, November 10, 2025.
The victim, a Grade Nine pupil at Nyayo Primary School, had been assaulted by his friends at a homestead where they were attending a housewarming party, police said.
He went home complaining of pain in his body. His father said he later succumbed to his injuries while at home. Police were called to the scene and moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.
The assailants escaped, and efforts to trace them are ongoing, police said.
Elsewhere in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, a 39-year-old man drowned in a dam while fishing.
The incident happened on Monday, November 10, 2025, as John Mbugua was fishing at Limunga Community Dam.
His son reported that his father had slipped and drowned, prompting a search for the body on Monday evening in vain.
The body was later retrieved, police said.
In Makupa area, Mombasa County, the body of a woman was found floating in the Indian Ocean after a suspected drowning.
The body was found in Bandarini village and identified through documents as that of 48-year-old Scollar Nashanga.
Coast police boss Ali Nuno said the body had no visible injuries and was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and further investigation
