Action between Gucha Stars and Fortune Sacco/ANGWENYI GICHANA
Promoted Gucha Stars suffered their first loss of the season in the National Super League after succumbing 3-2 against Fortune Sacco at Gusii Stadium on Sunday.
Fortune Sacco, coached by Alpha Muchiri, scored through Lucky Musyoki, Collins Maina and an own goal from Bernard Otieno.
Vincent Nyabuto and Grishom Nyakundi scored for Gucha FC in the five-goal thriller, played under a heavy downpour.
At Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, former Kenyan Premier League side, Nzoia Sugar, settled for a 2-2 draw with visiting Mombasa United, while Vihiga United recorded their first win of the campaign, beating hosts Luanda Villa 1-0 at Mumboha Sports Ground.
At Moi Stadium in Embu, Mwatate held hosts 3K FC to a 1-1 draw. Newbies Equity FC upset Migori Youth 3-2. It was Migori Youth's first loss of the season.
On Saturday, Kibera Black Stars edged Mully Children's Family (MCF) 2-0. Conrad Imbusi and Jephiter Bundi scored for the visitors in the game played at MCF Complex in Ndalani, Machakos County.
On Monday, Kisumu All Stars will seek their first win of the season when they host Darajani Gogo at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
Darajani Gogo coach Andrew Ongwae says they have picked up momentum after their first win of the season. They edged Nairobi City Stars 1-0 on Thursday last week.
"After one draw and one loss, we needed that win to kick-start our season. Our focus now is three points against Kisumu All Stars," said the former utility defender.
