Ruto said the government is upgrading and modernising public health facilities to support the roll-out of universal healthcare.
President William Ruto addresses residents in Kakamega on November 2, 2025 / PCS Through the Social Health Authority, the president said, the government is ensuring every Kenyan not only accesses free primary healthcare but is also insured for other services.
“We are expanding hospitals to meet the needs of the people and providing state-of-the-art medical equipment across the country under a sustainable fee-for-service model to enhance quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery,” Ruto said.
The President said with Sh1 billion allocated to the project, he assured the county government and residents of Kakamega that the hospital will be completed in 10 months.
