President William Ruto has said the government is rolling out transformative projects and programmes across the country to ensure that no region is left behind in development.
Speaking in Baringo County, the President laid the foundation stone for the 382-unit Marigat Affordable Housing Project, which he said will provide equal access to opportunities and services for all Kenyans.
Ruto noted that the initiative will elevate Marigat Town’s status as an emerging urban centre, underscoring the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
"We are rolling out transformative projects and programmes in every part of our nation to ensure that no region is left behind," Ruto said.
"Every Kenyan, wherever they live, will have equal access to opportunities and services that ensure inclusive growth and shared prosperity."
The Head of State reiterated his vision of using the Affordable Housing agenda not just to solve the housing crisis, but also to drive job creation and boost local industries.
The project aligns with the Bottom‑Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and the national vision of industrialisation, infrastructure growth, and improved living standards.
President Ruto emphasised that housing cannot be separated from economic growth; it is a critical enabler of improved productivity, social stability, and regional development.
