The State Department for Youth Affairs and Creative Economy has announced that a validation exercise for the Nyota Project Business Support component will take place on Friday, October 24.
Pre-selection SMS notifications were dispatched to youth across the country on Tuesday, ahead of the constituency-level validation exercise as confirmed by President William Ruto during the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Kitui county.
Those yet to receive the message have been urged to remain patient.
“To the applicants who have not yet received the pre-selection SMS, please be patient as the process of sending out messages is still ongoing, and you will receive your notification soon,” said Principal Secretary for the Creative Economy, Fikirini Jacob.
He advised all pre-selected applicants to familiarise themselves with their respective venues and to appear in person with their Original National Identity Card and a copy of the pre-selection SMS.
The designated venues for each constituency have been posted on the State Department’s official Facebook page.
Ahead of the validation exercise, all pre-selected applicants are required to undertake an Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT), which Fikirini said is a key step in assessing entrepreneurial skills.
How to take the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT)
- Activate promotional messages on your phone by dialling *100*5*2*5*1#
- Send the word NYOTA to 40270
- Select your preferred language
- Answer all questions by replying with the correct option number
- Wait for the completion message to confirm successful submission
Applicants are reminded that the EAT must be completed before Friday’s validation exercise.
Take the test using the same mobile number you applied with.

Unfortunately, once an answer is submitted via SMS, it cannot be changed. Please take your time when answering.
