The procession of the funeral service of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to the venue, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST), is all set.
The family members, church leaders, and top military personnel are ready for the procession. They are waiting for the body to be onboarded on the military vehicle carrier to be ferried by road from Opoda Farm to the university, where the service will be held.
The police outriders are on standby, ready for the procession, led by top military officers. It is expected that the procession will start anytime from now after a brief service at Raila's home.
Raila will be buried at their family home in Kang'o ka'Jaramogi, Bondo. The body of Raila was airlifted to his Opoda Farm residence after a public viewing at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.

The passing of Jakom, a towering figure of leadership and legacy, continues to cast a heavy shadow over the community, the nation, and the continent at large.
The helicopter carrying his body touched down at 4.16 pm. Upon its arrival at the Opoda Farm, mourners were heard wailing, with others blowing vuvuzelas.
The body was received by Raila's family. The body was airlifted to Bondo ahead of a night vigil and burial on Sunday. Thousands of residents had gathered at Mamboleo in Kisumu to view the body of the former prime minister.
His casket was draped in the Kenyan flag. On Saturday plans indicated that the body was to be transported by road, but that changed.
Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo confirmed that the body will not be transported by road as earlier planned.
