Tense moments were witnessed at Mamboleo Stadium on Saturday morning after a mourner attempted to invade a restricted area during the public viewing of the body of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The unidentified man was seen forcing his way toward the cordoned-off section of the stadium, prompting a swift response from security officers stationed around the grounds.

Dressed in black suits and official uniforms, the officers quickly restrained him before he could access the sensitive area.
Images from the scene showed at least seven officers involved in removing the man.
Some were seen holding him by the arms and legs as they carried him away from the crowd, underscoring the tight security measures in place to maintain order during the high-profile event.

The incident comes amid thousands of mourners who continued to stream into the stadium to pay their last respects to Raila Odinga.
The fallen leader’s body had earlier been escorted to Kisumu in a military-led procession, drawing massive crowds both inside and outside the venue.

In a separate incident, paramedics were seen attending to a mourner who collapsed inside the stadium. The individual was quickly placed on a stretcher and given medical assistance before being moved away from the packed crowd.
Despite the incidents, the atmosphere at Mamboleo remained largely calm but charged with emotion. Leaders allied to Raila, alongside thousands of supporters, filled the stadium in honor of the veteran politician, whose passing has plunged the nation into mourning.
Security agencies have maintained a heavy presence in Kisumu to ensure safety and order as the body of the late former prime minister continues to draw unprecedented crowds.
