Detectives are pursuing a man who allegedly hacked his three-year-old son to
death in Kawatut village, Kolowa, Baringo County.
Police reports indicate the suspect, armed with
a panga, attacked the child on September 21, slashing him on the head, neck,
and chest.
The boy died instantly as his mother raised an alarm. The father fled the scene
and remains at large.
Officers later visited the scene and moved the
body to a local mortuary for autopsy as investigations into the motive
continue.
In Samburu County, a 30-year-old man was shot
dead in the Loiborokare shopping centre, Maralal.
The victim, identified as Jackson Luvusi, was found lying in a pool of blood
at his workshop, where he usually stored his motorcycle. He had multiple
gunshot wounds to the head and stomach.
No cartridges were recovered at the scene,
leading police to suspect the assailant collected them after the shooting.
Nothing was reported stolen, and the
motive of the killing remains unclear. His body was taken to the mortuary
pending a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, in Kianjokoma, Embu County, police
are investigating the death of 25-year-old Peterson Murimi, whose body was

The motive is yet to be established.
