National Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi is
celebrating a proud family milestone after his daughter, Ann Natalie Mbadi,
graduated with a Master of Law degree in Labour and Employment Law.
The graduation ceremony was held at Monash University in
Melbourne, Australia, where Mbadi, accompanied by his wife Roda, joined other
families in witnessing the conferment of degrees.
The CS described the moment as deeply emotional, saying it
was not only fulfilling but also stirred silent tears of parental love as he
watched his daughter walk down the aisle and receive her accolade.
Mbadi congratulated his daughter for achieving such a fete.
“Alongside my spouse Roda, we had the honour of witnessing
the conferment of our daughter Ann Natalie Mbadi, who graduated with Masters of
Law in Labour and Employment Law at Monash University in Melbourne City,
Australia. Seeing her match gently down the aisle, up the rostrum together with
fellow graduands wasn't just fulfilling, the moment invoked silent tears of
parental love. Congratulations Natalie, we are proud of you daughter,” Mbadi wrote
on X.
Natalie’s achievement adds to the CS’s growing list of proud
family moments, marking a significant step in her academic and professional
journey.
This is also the first time the Cabinet Secretary has made
public his family.
While previously serving as a member of parliament, details
of Mbadi’s family remained unknown, with only the spouse’s name being public and
the fact that he was a father of two.
Mbadi, who was serving as a nominated MP, joined President
William Ruto’s Executive after the dismissal of his first Cabinet, following
the heated, Gen Z-led anti-government protests across the country.
