NPSC constables recruitment: Step by step guide on how to apply

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has announced the recruitment of 10,000 police constables under new 2025 regulations designed to promote transparency and curb corruption.

Out of the 10,000 slots, 4,000 have been reserved for National Youth Service (NYS) graduates.

For the first time in Kenya’s history, the exercise will be conducted entirely online, with applicants required to submit their details virtually.

Interested applicants have been advised to visit the official online portal for police recruitment  https://services.npsc.go.ke/recruitment/Auth/login.php 

There you can log in, register, or recover your password. 

The registration form requires your National ID number, phone number, and email address.

How to Apply: Step–by–Step guide

1. Visit the portal : Go to https://services.npsc.go.ke/recruitment/Auth/login.php  and select the “Recruitment” section to access the application area.

2. Register or log in: If this is your first time, register using your national ID, email, and phone number. If you already have an account, simply log in.

3. Complete the application form: Provide personal details (name, ID number, contact info). Upload scanned copies of required documents, such as: National ID (both sides) KCSE certificate (D+ minimum, and similar in Kiswahili/English) Birth certificate Passport-sized photo Testimonial/certificates if available.

4. Submit application: Double-check all information and submit. Print or save your application acknowledgement slip or note your reference number — it’s needed for later stages.

5. Next steps post-submission: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via the portal, SMS, or email.

Tips for a smooth application:

 You are edvised to ensure your KCSE grade is D+ or higher, with at least D+ in Kiswahili and English.

Upload clear, legible scans of all required documents and keep your contact details (phone & email) up to date since notifications may come through either channel.

You are also advised to save or print your reference number for future tracking.
