
Ruto said the move marks a significant step in expanding opportunities for Kenyans abroad and deepening people-to-people ties.

He said the country is committed to strengthening the enduring partnership between Kenya and the United States.
“Our relations are cemented by robust trade underpinned by the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), a strategic partnership, and cooperation in shared democratic values, counter-terrorism, and defense,” he said.

The President added that, at the sub-national level, Kenya is deepening ties with the State of Nebraska in the US on various issues, including diaspora engagement, student and apprenticeship training, skills and technology transfer, tourism, agriculture and labour exchange.
The MoU was signed by Kenya Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Roseline Njogu and Secretary of State of Nebraska Bob Evnen.
