State announces 400 internship opportunities for Presidential DigiTalent program

Past beneficiaries of the Presidential Digital Talent Internship Programme
The ICT Authority has announced 400 internship opportunities that qualified
Kenyans can apply for.
The opportunities target university graduates
who completed their education at a recognised institution in the last two
years.
The batch of 400 recruited candidates will form
Cohort 10 of the program and will undergo a 12-month internship in both the
private and public sectors.
The deadline for applications is September 15,
2025.
Of the 400 opportunities, Network and Digital
Infrastructure has 150 vacancies, Software Development and AI has 100,
Information Security has 50, Multimedia (Graphic Design and Digital) has 50,
and Data Analytics has 50.
The goal of the internship program is to
develop and prepare young ICT graduates to take up employment opportunities
that come up in ICT as well as other sectors. It also presents opportunities to
gain workplace experience, knowledge, mentorship, refine careers, and build
professional networks.
Applicants must meet the following
qualifications: they must have graduated and attained First or Upper
Second-Class Honours (or the equivalent) from a recognised institution in the
last two years (from January 2023).
Those awaiting graduation up to December 2025 must provide a recommendation
or reference letter from the university, stamped and signed, indicating the
class to be awarded (First or Upper Second-Class Honours).
Graduated in BSc. ICT or Engineering
(Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Systems/Software, Computer)
must demonstrate thorough knowledge in their core areas of specialisation:
Network & Digital Infrastructure, Software Development & AI,
Information Security, Multimedia (Graphic Design & Digital Marketing), and
Data Analytics.
Applicants may be required to demonstrate technical competencies in their
core specialisation prior to the interview.
Applicants must be Kenyan youth between 21 and
29 years of age, unemployed, and should not have undertaken any other
internship program in the government.
They must also be willing and ready to be deployed in any government organisation
(MCDAs) within the 47 counties on a full-time basis from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The opportunity is open to everyone, including
people with disabilities. “Females, persons
with disability and graduates from ASAL regions are encouraged to apply,”
the notice stated.

and attach relevant documents as indicated in the form.
Incomplete applications will not be
considered, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend the
