
Crime Scene
A man collapsed and died after he had arrived at his Limuru Town home in Kiambu County.
The man,
identified as Paul Kimani Karanja, 50, arrived home Friday night and informed his
wife he was from Kitui, where he had gone to seek spiritual interventions
since his butchery business was going down.
According to witnesses, the man excused
himself to go to the toilet, where he collapsed and died.
His body was found in the toilet
hours after he had died. Police were called to the scene and moved the body to
the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
Police said they are yet to
establish the cause of the death.
The police said they will, among
others, visit the church where the man had gone for the said prayers as part of
the probe.
Police hope the planned postmortem
exercise will help solve the death. The team wants to establish if there is any
form of occultism in the death.
And police in
Tana River’s Kipini area said they recovered a decomposed body at the Indian
Ocean believed to be of a missing fisherman.
Police said the
body was found in the Kengeleni area of Ozi Beach.
The body had
decomposed when it was discovered and identified as that of Joseph Raphael
Kazungu with a black tag tied around his neck.
Police said the
man may have died after a boat they were using for fishing capsized in the
area.
Another
fisherman is missing following the capsizing, locals said amid search mission.
In Mikuini
area, Machakos County, a man was found dead and lying in a pool of blood after
suspected murder.
Police said the
body of Musembi Mutinda, 32 was found near a bar.
He had been to
the bar and left before he was fatally attacked. The motive of the murder is
yet to be known, police said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and investigations.
