Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is set to deliver the closing speech at the 9th biennial Devolution Conference in Homa Bay County.

The conference is structured around three key thematic days, from August 13, which focus on citizen participation, transparency, social accountability and rule of law.

On Thursday, the discussions were on inclusive access to socio-economic, civil and cultural rights; representation of marginalised groups; and social equity.

On Friday, they will deliberate on resource allocation fairness, MSME financing, pro-poor budgeting, and funding for special interest groups.

AMREF Flying Doctors to resume operations with “Wings of Courage” maiden flight

AMREF Flying Doctors will on Friday mark a symbolic return to service with the launch of their first mission flight since the tragic Mwihoko aircraft accident that claimed multiple lives on August 7.

Dubbed “Wings of Courage,” the maiden flight will take off from Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

AMREF Flying Doctors and Amref Health Africa leadership will also give updates on the ongoing investigation into the crash, continued humanitarian support for the affected families and efforts made in victim identification.

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Kenya to launch customer campaign

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in Kenya will on Friday launch its latest consumer campaign, which will see over 3.3 million Kenyans win cash and data prizes over the next three months.

The launch will be held at Kenyatta Market, Ngong Town, from 11:30a to 1:30 pm.

The company said that from Friday, consumers will win daily and weekly cash prizes of up to Sh1 million.

To participate, they will be required to purchase a 300ml glass bottle of Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Stoney, Krest or Schweppes, check under the yellow cap of participating products for a unique code, and send it via SMS for a chance to win.
