Four foreign nationals have died in separate incidents across Kenya this week, with police launching investigations into each case.

In Nairobi, a 95-year-old British man was found dead in his bed along Riverside Drive on Friday, August 2.

Identified as Haynes Trevor, police say he had been battling cancer-related complications. Medical documents found in the home indicate he had been receiving treatment at a local hospital.

His body was discovered long after he had died and was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In Watamu, Kilifi County, another British national, Gregory John Richard, 81, died on Sunday after developing breathing difficulties at a private villa.

According to police and the caretaker, a doctor was called to assist, but Richard was declared dead at the scene. He had arrived in Kenya on May 25 and was scheduled to return to the UK on August 25.

Last month, he underwent surgery to correct an intestinal obstruction. His body has been taken to the mortuary for further examination.

In a separate case in Mtwapa, Kilifi County, Dutch national Boudewi Klop, 82, collapsed and died on the evening of August 1.

Police said he was with his partner at the time of the incident and was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

According to his family, Klop had been living with diabetic complications. He had entered Kenya in 2017 and had not left the country since.

In Kwale County, an Indian man died shortly after checking into a hotel in Diani. Hiteshbhai Patel, 63, had checked into Lantana Galu Resort on August 1 and was set to stay until August 5. Police said he complained of back pain before collapsing.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Authorities confirmed that Patel also held Kenyan citizenship.

All four bodies have been taken to their respective mortuaries as autopsies and investigations continue.

Police say they are treating the cases independently and will release findings once the postmortems are complete
