Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his spouse, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, were received in style upon their arrival in Dallas, Texas.
Welcomed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport by members of the Kenyan diaspora in the US, the couple was greeted with flower bouquets and a celebratory dance.
"In the company of my spouse, Pastor Dorcas, we touched down at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to the great joy and overwhelming love of Kenyans," Gachagua said.
"It is a great pleasure to be in the State of Texas. We look forward to candid engagements with Kenyans living and working here on the future of our nation. I am excited to be in the great Lone Star State."
After the warm reception, the couple was driven to a nearby ranch bearing a sign that read, “Karibu Wamunyoro Texas”.
The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader is on a two-month visit to the US.
So far, Gachagua has visited Boston, Massachusetts, Maryland and
Seattle, where he has held several town hall meetings to promote his agenda for
the diaspora community.
