
A 24-year-old woman was found murdered following a domestic fight at her Kamutari village, Merigi, Bomet County.
Police
said the body of Jessica Chelangat was found lying in a pool of blood in her
house long after her murder on July 29 in Kiromwok village.
She
was a teacher at a local private academy.
Police
said the body had deep cuts in the head and hands inflicted by a panga.
The
motive of the murder is yet to be established. The assailant, believed to be
her husband, escaped the scene, police said.
A hunt for him was ongoing Wednesday, police
said, as they told him to surrender for questioning.
The
body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
In
Isebania, Migori County, one Tiberis Mogendi, 35, was killed over claims he was
a thief.
His
body was found in a shop with an open wound on the head.
The
wound was caused by a blunt object, which crushed the skull.
The
motive of the Tuesday incident is yet to be known, police said as they moved
the body to the mortuary pending autopsy.
Police
said they are investigating a murder in the incident.
In
Mwatate, Taita Taveta County, a bodaboda rider was found murdered in Mrabenyi
village.
The
motive of the murder of the man identified as
Damian Legha, 30, was not immediately known.
The
body was dragged into a thicket and abandoned there with deep cuts on the head.
Police
said blood was oozing from his face when the body was discovered.
The
body was moved to the Voi Moi Teaching and Referral mortuary, awaiting
postmortem.
In
Muthaiga village, Mwingi, Kitui County, a naked body of a man was found lying in
a bush after murder.
The
motive is yet to be known, police said.
Police said the body was found with visible injuries on the back, a broken left hand, and a cut on the head.
The body was moved to Mwingi Level Four hospital
mortuary, awaiting postmortem and identification.
Murder
cases are on the rise in the country amid efforts to solve them.
