Police from Gatuanyaga Police Post have arrested four suspects in Kiambu following a raid in the area.
The operation was conducted based on intelligence shared by members of the public.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), the suspects are under investigation in connection with a robbery with violence case reported on July 11, 2025.
During the operation, officers recovered a Browning pistol and a blue Ranger motorcycle.
“Their arrest also resulted in the recovery of a Browning pistol and a blue Ranger motorcycle, both believed to have been used in the commission of the crime,” NPS said in a statement.
The suspects are being held in custody as police process them ahead of arraignment.
The NPS commended residents for their vigilance and timely sharing of information, which they said contributed to the success of the operation.
In a separate incident in Embu, police arrested a suspect following a break-in and theft at the Fidenza School of Nursing in Kyeni, Embu East Sub-County.
Authorities said intruders accessed the school compound, vandalised the students’ canteen and stole assorted items, including an electric water pump.
The suspect was taken to Runyenjes Police Station for further action.
Acting on intelligence and with the support of the local community, officers traced the suspect, who later led them to a residence where the stolen items were recovered.
Police said investigations are ongoing, and the suspect remains in custody pending legal action.
