President William Ruto on Saturday graced the 10th Annual Dairy Farmers Field Day in Meru County, a showcase event aimed at promoting sustainable farming practices and boosting rural incomes.
Hosted by Mount Kenya Milk at the ASK Grounds, this year’s “theme—“Elevating Sustainable Livelihoods Through Dairy Farming”—drew farmers from across the region for a day of learning, networking, and expert insights.
The event is designed to give farmers practical tips and knowledge to improve their dairy ventures.
“Don’t miss out on expert insights, networking opportunities, and hands-on learning to boost your dairy farming success,” the organisers said in a post on the company’s Facebook page.
The field day came amid rising political temperatures in the county, coinciding with a separate opposition tour aimed at shoring up support in the region.

“I urge Meru residents to embrace calm, tolerance, and maturity during this visit. Let us reject divisive politics and allow every leader to present their vision without disruption,” Mwangaza said.
With agriculture at the heart of Meru’s economic future and politics heating up across the county, the day offered both farmers and leaders an opportunity to focus on growth, cooperation, and sustainable prosperity.
