Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi arrived in Changsha, Hunan Province, China on June 9 for the Ministerial talks with China.

On the same day during his visit, the Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Centre at the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (HUNAAS) in Mapoling, he witnessed firsthand how China has transformed its rice production through innovation and research.

“There is much Kenya can learn from this success as we strengthen partnerships and pursue sustainable agricultural solutions,” Mudavadi noted.

"Kenya has the potential to triple its rice yields in a single season, through the right seed varieties, improved agronomic practices, and strategic fertiliser use, significantly enhancing our food security."

He also visited a film production in China at the Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.

Over 60,000 young innovators are earning a living by turning their creativity into marketable content.
