KNEC invites applications for 2025 KCSE oral and practical assessors

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is recruiting secondary school teachers and college tutors who will serve as assessors for the 2025 KCSE oral and practical examinations.

KNEC seeks to recruit assessors between June 10 and July 30, 2025. Selected professionals will receive training.

The training will focus on job assignments during the assessment of the 2025 KCSE examination papers.

Teachers and tutors already in the KNEC database of assessors do not need to apply.

Applications are invited from all interested and qualified teachers and tutors.

The examinations requiring assessors include: Paper Mechanics (447/2), Electricity (448/2), Aviation Technology (450/2), French Oral (501/3), German Oral (502/3), Arabic Oral (503/3), Kenyan Sign Language Signing Practical (504/3), Music Practical (511/1).

Applicants must meet specific requirements. They need to be practising teachers or tutors in relevant subjects.

They must be registered by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or a recognized professional body.

For Aviation Technology, applicants must hold a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering. They also need a minimum teaching experience of three years.

Applicants must not be under interdiction or facing disciplinary action. They must be recommended by their head of institution or employer.

Applicants must be 50 years of age or below.

Applicants must access the KNEC examiners' portal. The link is https://examinersapp.knec.ac.ke.

Those with CP2 accounts should log into the portal. They will use their user names and passwords.

Those who have forgotten their CP2 passwords should check the Reset Password button.

They should input their mobile number. This will generate a new password for logging into the portal.

Those without CP2 accounts should click the Create Account button. They must follow instructions to acquire login credentials.

Upon successful login, applicants should complete their personal profile. They must save it.

On the dashboard, applicants can apply for assessors' vacancies.

All declared vacancies will be available for applicants to choose.

The slots are limited. Only qualified applicants whose required documents are presented will be shortlisted for the exercise.
