

President William Ruto will today, June 5, host a delegation of leaders from Siaya County for a consultative meeting.
The meeting will be held at the State House, Nairobi.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi held talks Wednesday, June 4, with Siaya Governor James Orengo in an apparent bid to ease tensions ahead of the key meeting.
The meeting at Mbadi’s National Treasury offices is viewed as a decisive step toward a planned engagement at State House, where the President to discuss the county’s development agenda.
Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi orchestrated the pivotal meeting, where the leaders are expected to present projects they would want the Kenya Kwanza administration to intervene in.
Draft PBO regulations
Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo will today, June 5, preside over the launch of the draft public benefit organisations (PBO) regulations.
The event will be held at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) from 8 am.
Finance Bill, 2025
The public hearings on the Finance Bill and the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, 2025, continue today.
The exercise, which commenced Saturday (May 31), concludes tomorrow (June 6).
The National Assembly's Finance Committee, chaired by Molo MP Kuria Kimani, will be in Machakos and Kiambu to receive oral submissions.
On Friday, the committee will be in Kwale, Mombasa and Kilifi counties.
The team was in Trans Nzoia on Wednesday.
