The deadline for the application has been set to be August 28, 2025.
To apply for an institution’s number plate for the new
generation, one should have access to reliable internet.
The first step is logging in to the National Transport and
Safety Authority (NTSA) website www.ntsa.go.ke .
After a successful login, select vehicle registration and
apply for a reflective plate.
You will then head on and Select Vehicle and click on the
icon next to proceed.
In the next step, you will be required to provide a reason,
click on the new generation plate.
After providing a reason, select your preferred notification
method, eg, SMS.
The next step is that you will be required to choose the number
plate and format (square or oblong).
You will then upload in PDF format the original logbook
& plates (front & rear).
After the upload, you will be required to select your
preferred collection centre and enter the ID number of the person who will collect
it.
The next step involves making payments of Sh3,050.
After making payments, you will receive a collection
notification via the mode that you chose.
