Speaking at State House in Nairobi on Tuesday, where he hosted leaders from the coastal region, President William Ruto emphasised the government's effort to lift the coastal economic growth.
Those present included Mining CS Hassan Joho and his Sports counterpart Salim Mvurya.
The government's initiatives in the coastal region involve agriculture, blue economy and the marine sector.
''We are also making progress in sorting out the historical land issues in the region,'' President Ruto stated.
The President also announced ongoing progress in addressing long-standing land issues that have plagued the region.
He reiterated the government's resolve to eradicate the squatter problem and issue title deeds to rightful land owners, ensuring security of tenure for thousands of residents.
