In a statement released on Friday, May 24, 2025, and signed by board chairperson Bartley Onyambu, the board announced that Osano will succeed James Nyamongo, who served as CEO until December 2024.
Osano has been serving as acting CEO since December 13, 2024, following the decision by the previous board, chaired by Chris Bichage, to send Nyamongo on compulsory leave.
Before his appointment, Osano served as Director of Supply Chain.
According to the board’s statement, Osano brings over 17 years of professional experience spanning global private equity investments in healthcare across Africa and Asia, as well as leadership roles in FMCG and healthcare organisations.
An accomplished professional, Osano is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Strategic Management at USIU-Africa.

“The Board extends its full support and best wishes to Mr. Osano in his new role.”
