

President William Ruto has appointed former Turkana County Assembly Speaker
Christopher Ndoye Nakuleu as his senior political advisor.
In a statement posted on Facebook on Thursday,
Nakuleu acknowledged the appointment and said he had accepted the position with
humility.
He thanked President Ruto for the opportunity, even as he lauded the people of
Turkana for their support.
“I am writing this with a profound sense of
gratitude and humility as I accept the appointment by H.E. President Dr.
William Ruto as his Senior Political Advisor. This is a significant honour, and
I am deeply touched by the trust H.E. has placed in me,” Nakuleu said.
“I want to express my sincere gratitude to my
party leader, H.E. Dr. William Ruto, Members of the National Assembly, and the
Turkana people who championed and prayed for this opportunity. Your confidence
and prayers inspire me to strive for excellence in this role.”
Nakuleu went on to express his commitment to
working diligently in his new role, saying he looks forward to delivering on
his mandate.
“As I embark on this new chapter, I am
committed to working diligently with all of you to achieve our shared goals as
a country. I envision a future where I can contribute my skills and experience
to make a positive impact,” he added.
East African Community Cabinet Secretary
Beatrice Askul congratulated Nakuleu for the appointment in a statement posted
on her X account on Wednesday.
“Congratulations, Hon. Christopher Doye Nakuleu, on your appointment as Senior Political Advisor to H.E. Dr. @WilliamsRuto,
President of the Republic of Kenya,” she said.
Before serving as Turkana County Assembly Speaker, Nakuleu represented the people of Turkana North Constituency as a Member of Parliament for two terms.
He also served as a Member of the East
African Legislative Assembly.
“You have accumulated a wealth of valuable experience in the political arena to prepare you well for this role. I wish you all the best,” Askul added.
