DCP also unveiled a set of rallying songs featuring sensational lyrics aimed at galvanising support in his political battle against President William Ruto.

Two songs—one in Kiswahili and another in English—carry themes of liberating Kenyans, redeeming the payslip, listening to citizens, and expanding democratic space.

DCP, whose slogan is Skiza Wakenya (Listen to Kenyans), was launched in Lavington, Nairobi, on May 15, 2025, as Gachagua’s 2027 political ambitions take shape.

In one of the Kiswahili songs, the lyrics call on Kenyans to rise, unite, and fight against economic oppression and punitive policies:

“Komboa payslip, Okoa Wakenya, Unganisha Kenya!”

“Skiza Wakenya! DCP ni mwamko mpya, utaboresha afya na itaokoa payslip!”

In stark contrast to the 2021 launch of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), which featured Christian songs to convey its message, Gachagua’s DCP is blending secular and gospel music, focusing heavily on issues directly affecting Kenyans.

Another chant from the rally went:

“Uongozi wa kuaminika, tunaskiza Wakenya! DCP inaunganisha Wakenya wote na ni chama cha Wakenya wote!”
