Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i reunited on Saturday at Enashipai, Nakuru county, during the wedding ceremony of Kevin Muasya Musyoka, son of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
The event brought together prominent political and public figures who are aligning ahead of the 2027 General Election. They were seen exchanging pleasantries.
Kevin Muasya tied the knot with his fiancée, Sharon, in a colorful ceremony attended by family, friends and a host of dignitaries.
In a post shared on social media, Gachagua expressed joy for attending the celebration and highlighted the unity among leaders.
“I’m delighted to join my brothers, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Dr Fred Matiang’i, at the wedding of Kevin Muasya Musyoka and Sharon at Enashipai in Nakuru county,” Gachagua said.
“Wishing Kevin and his spouse a lifetime of happiness and blessings!”
Matiang'i first publicly joined the key opposition figures on April 29, for a crucial meeting as they firmed up their 2027 plans.
The meeting brought an end to speculations about Matiang’s political allegiance ahead of 2027.
The leaders present included Kalonzo, Gachagua, People’s Liberation Party Leader Martha Karua and DAP-Kenya Leader Eugene Wamalwa.
Others were Former CSs Mithika Linturi, Justin Muturi and Former UNCTAD Secretary General Mukhisa Kituyi.
Also present at the wedding was Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti and Gachagua’s wife, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua.
Pastor Dorcas summarised the occassion with a Bible verse.
“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9. I joined my husband, H.E Rigathi Gachagua, and my son, Kevin Rigathi, in celebrating a beautiful union filled with love, joy, and blessings," she said.

During an interview on April 27, Gachagua revealed that the opposition will rely on scientific methods to select the most suitable candidate to face his former boss, President William Ruto.
Gachagua, who has declared his presidential ambitions—barring any legal hindrances—added that he would fully support whichever candidate the opposition agrees on if he is not chosen.
“I am vying for the presidency, as are Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, Fred Matiang’i, and Eugene Wamalwa. We are all looking for votes. In the end, we shall talk and agree to back one candidate. Even if it’s not me, I will support whoever we settle on,” he said.
“I was not impeached by the people. I was impeached by MPs who did not elect me. Impeached or not, I am still a leader and that is why people listen to me everywhere I go. I am in the politics of saving Kenya.”
Gachagua is expected to launch his political party in May.
