Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is scheduled to hold a series of meetings on the status of the manufacturing sector and the coffee society/factory officials from Kirinyaga county at his Karen Residence.

He is later scheduled to preside over the graduation of Michuki National Polytechnic in Kangema, Murang'a County and thereafter issue cheques to victims, which is the compensation for human-wildlife conflict.

The DP will also inspect the ongoing construction of the Ilpolei ESP market in Laikipia County and the Kirimon Division ACC offices in Laikipia North.

Murkomen in Embu

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen takes his Jukwaa la Usalama forums to Embu County.

He is set to engage top security officials from the county and also residents.

His tour of the Upper Eastern region commenced in Meru before heading to Tharaka Nithi.

CS Barasa to visit KEFRI headquarters

Environment Cabinet Secretary Deborah Barasa will pay an official visit to the Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI).

She will engage with researchers and review the ongoing program, especially seed propagation geared towards the 15 billion tree growing campaign at KEFRI headquarters in Muguga.

MP Were murder probe

A magistrate at the JKIA law court will today rule on an application by the Director of Public Prosecutions in which the state is seeking to detain some five suspects connected to the murder of Kasipul MP Charles Ong’ondo for 30 days pending completion of investigations.

The suspects Ebel Ochieng alias Dave Colo, Edwin Oduor Odhiambo, Dennis Sewe Manyasi, Allan Ogola Omondi and Walter Owino Awino were arraigned before Principal Magistrate Irene Gichobi on Thursday.

Court of Appeal is set to rule on whether Deputy CJ Mwilu had powers to constitute a three-judge bench in former DP Rigathi Gachagua's impeachment case.
