Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka has
announced the passing on of his mother.
The Governor in a statement said his
mother Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka died Sunday morning.
Governor Lusaka described Rhoda as an icon who shaped their life and became a great family pillar.
“It is with profound sadness that I
announce the passing on of my mother lay canon Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka this
morning,” he said.
“My mum has been an icon and a
great pillar in the family since the passing on of our dad way back in 1995.”
As a staunch ACK church member,
Governor Lusaka said the mother was an educator and a strong synod member in
the ACK church.
The governor said the details
regarding her final journey will be issued in due course.
“Amidst all this sadness, we appreciate and
celebrate her life,” he said.
