President William Ruto will today commence his highly anticipated four-day development tour of the Nyanza region, covering four counties.

The tour will begin in Migori at 2 pm where he will officially launch the Kegonga Cluster Water Project.

Following this, the President will inspect the Lower Kuja Irrigation Project and conclude the visit with the inauguration of the Ngere-Mapera Road.

US-Africa energy summit

The US-Africa energy being held in Nairobi enters its second day today with participants set to discuss the nuclear financing.

The session provides an overview of the commitments and obligations associated with nuclear energy program development and discusses available financing tools and strategies.

There will also be a high-level session for key speakers including Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) Director General William Magwood, IV, David Wright, commissioner at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Rwanda Atomic Energy Board Lassina Zerbo.

Others are the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director for Africa division Shaukat Abdulrazak and Ghana's chief director at the Ministry Energy Wilhelmina Asamoah.

Ex-governor Lenolkulal case

Court will today deliver judgment in former Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal's Sh84 million corruption case.

Tob Cohen case

A Nairobi court will today give a ruling on whether to terminate the inquest into the death of tycoon Tob Cohen.

This is in light of new evidence received by the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
